Truck winch skids a bundle of 8' logs up the loading ramp

Dad winches the logs to the forward end of the truck bed

​​Dad remained there through the end of Christmas tree cutting season.
He brought a few hundred trees home to Portland on the last load.
He set up a Christmas tree lot on the Toenjes property facing 82nd Ave.

​His sign advertised "Montana Trees."
Customers liked the fullness of the slower growing Montana trees.
